StillMac
Local evidence before Mac cleanup.
StillMac helps Mac developers inspect processes, memory and selected developer caches before any approved action.
- Release
- Public beta v0.1.1
- Platform
- Apple Silicon
- Operation
- Runs locally
- Data
- No telemetry
What it does
A narrow utility built around evidence.
- 01
Process and memory snapshot
Record one point-in-time measurement when you ask for it. StillMac does not sample automatically.
- 02
Fixed cache measurement
Measure a defined set of developer-cache roots rather than scanning arbitrary locations.
- 03
Git worktree inventory
Review path-minimised worktree information for a project. StillMac never performs a Git cleanup action.
- 04
Approval-gated Go cleanup
Clean only an eligible exact Go build cache after reviewing and approving a short-lived plan.
- 05
Private local receipt
Keep a local record of the measured result after an approved action.
Safety boundary
One thing can change. The rest stays inventory-only.
Can currently clean
Exact Go build cache
Only eligible cache content, after a fresh plan, explicit approval and immediate revalidation.
Never cleaned
Homebrew, Codex and Git
Homebrew caches, Codex runtimes and Git worktrees remain inventory-only. StillMac does not perform generic path deletion.
StillMac does not scan arbitrary locations, terminate processes, elevate privileges or run in the background.
How it works
Nothing changes before review.

Privacy
Local means local.
The StillMac binary has no telemetry, analytics, cloud service, network client or LLM dependency. Sampling and cleanup happen only when explicitly invoked.
Process and memory samples exclude command arguments, environment variables, full executable paths, workspace names, usernames, file contents, conversations, tokens and credentials. Private cleanup state retains the bounded details needed to revalidate an approved plan and write a receipt.
FAQ
Before you install.
Is StillMac production-ready?

Which Macs are supported?
The current beta is for Apple Silicon Macs. It has been executed on macOS 26.5; other macOS versions are not verified runtime claims.
What can StillMac delete?
Only eligible content in the exact Go build cache, after a short-lived plan, explicit approval and revalidation. Homebrew caches, Codex runtimes and Git worktrees are inventory-only and are never cleaned.
Does it send telemetry?
No. The StillMac binary has no telemetry, analytics, cloud service, network client or LLM dependency.
Where are the install instructions?
The versioned install instructions and inspect-first route are in the StillMac GitHub repository.
